The floor air conditioning system uses a raised floor system as a platform, dividing the space below the floor into supply and return air zones. Due to the limited space under the floor, cross-flow fans are fully utilized. This area is separated by underground partition walls, with the main air conditioning unit and control devices installed in the office, providing an appropriate amount of cooling/heating according to the needs of each area, thus significantly reducing the volume and ducts of the central air conditioning system. The floor air conditioning system not only provides air conditioning but also regulates the air.
The floor air conditioning system is a type of air conditioning system originating from Europe, with the terminal device being a floor convector, which is a floor fan coil.
Working principle of the floor air supply terminal:
Heating
In winter, room temperature air is drawn in by the cross-flow fan through the filter, exchanges heat with the hot water in the inclined heat exchanger, and is then sent into the room along the window. The heated airflow rises vertically along the curtain wall glass, heating the cold airflow at the curtain wall, and then mixes with the indoor air, while shielding the cold airflow from the window from invading the indoor space.
Cooling
In summer, room temperature air is drawn in by the through-flow fan through the filter, exchanges heat with the cold water in the inclined heat exchanger, and is then sent into the room along the window. The cooled airflow moves upward along the curtain wall glass, naturally settling into the room after reaching the ceiling, mixing with the indoor air, and then entering the room in a laminar flow manner.
